JOYOUS PERRIN , blues singer / bassist / songwriter, 
performed in blues clubs and concert venues throughout the 
the U.S. and abroad from 1971 through 2001. 

This sub-division of Joy's website gives a historical overview 
of many sparkling highlights in an eclectic (and amazingly
varied ) career!
Joyous was based in New York City from 1984 through
mid 2002, working as a  bandleader, frequent teamplayer
and 'sideman' for various other blues shows, cabaret acts,
and w  Previous to that, she worked out of Charlotte, N.C.,
Kalamazoo, MI, and St. Louis & St. Joseph, MO. 


Performing professionally since the mid-1960s, Joy came 
to the blues scene after an earlier background the mid-
1960s, Joy came to the blues scene after an earlier back-
ground in coffee-houses (folk music, on guitar), and then
the midwestern hotel circuit (jazz, standards,pop, easy-
listening, soul, multi-era; electric bass)

The music business has changed immensely since most 
of you have been buying records!  Hence many recording 
artists must create and market their own product.
